This Privacy Policy explains how ronakdev.com (“the site,” “I,” “me,” or “my”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit the site or get in touch. The site is operated by Ronak Prajapati (trading as Ronak Dev), based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. You can reach me at hello@ronakdev.com with any questions about this policy or your data.

What I collect

Information you give me directly. When you fill out the contact form, I collect the details you provide, which typically include your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message. If you share other information in that message (a phone number, a company name, project details), that gets collected too, simply because you chose to send it.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site collects some technical information as you browse. This includes your IP address, browser type, device and operating system, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the site or link that referred you. This happens through analytics tools described below.

I do not knowingly collect any sensitive personal information (such as financial details, health data, or government IDs), and I ask that you don’t send any through the contact form.

How the contact form works

Contact form submissions are stored in this site’s WordPress database and are also sent to me by email so I can respond. I use this information only to reply to you, discuss a potential project, and keep a record of our conversation. I don’t sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for marketing.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site so I can improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect the automatic information described above, including a version of your IP address. This data helps me see things like which pages are popular and how people find the site. It is not used to personally identify you.

Google processes this data on my behalf, and it may be transferred to and stored on servers outside your country, including in the United States. You can read about how Google handles this data in Google’s own privacy policy.

Managing cookies. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.

Why I’m allowed to use your data (legal bases)

For visitors in the EU, UK, and other regions with similar laws, I rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for analytics cookies, where required, and for any optional communications.
  • Legitimate interests — to understand site usage, keep the site secure, and respond to enquiries you send me.
  • Steps toward a contract — when you contact me about working together, processing your details is part of responding to that request.

How long I keep your data

I keep contact form submissions only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting work, plus a reasonable period afterward for my records, up to 14 months after our last contact. Analytics data is retained for 14 months in line with the retention settings in Google Analytics.

You can ask me to delete your information at any time (see below).

Who I share data with

I don’t sell your personal information. I share it only with the service providers that make this site run:

  • Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) — for site usage measurement.
  • My web host — which stores the site and its database, including contact form entries.

These providers process data on my behalf and are expected to protect it. I may also disclose information if required by law.

International visitors

The site is operated from India and serves visitors worldwide, including in the EU, UK, and US. Wherever you’re located, your information may be processed in India or in the countries where my service providers operate. By using the site, you understand your data may be transferred across borders.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data I hold about you,
  • ask me to correct or update it,
  • ask me to delete it,
  • object to or restrict how it’s used,
  • withdraw consent for analytics at any time,
  • request a copy of your data in a portable format.

These rights apply under laws including the EU/UK GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and the California Consumer Privacy Act. I don’t sell personal information, so there’s nothing to opt out of on that front.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent me personal data, contact me and I’ll remove it.

Security

I take reasonable measures to keep your information secure, including keeping the site and its software up to date. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so I can’t guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I’ll change the date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear on this page. Please check back occasionally.
